It’s not safe to leave Autumn alone with small cute things.
I actually work with kids for a day job. Well, not all of them are kids. Basically I work with individuals who suffer from autism. It’s a fun and rewarding job at times, but sometimes it can try the hell out of your patience.

Also, things for the book are starting to move along quickly now! Just this last Friday, LAWLS officially got an ISBN number and bar code! It’s strange, but that moment that I leaned back after putting it on the back cover I sorta settled in as to how real this whole endeavor is becoming! It’s pretty exciting.. but nerve racking all the same.
As soon as I’m done with this blog here, I’m gonna finalize a few more art updates and pretty much wrap up the book. I’m waiting to hear back from a few people who graciously offered their services to help me edit the book, but once I get their edits in I think the book will be a go! Well.. at least the first phase of getting everything to the printers anyway. After that I’ll be awaiting my first proof from them… so I can check all the colors and do another spelling/grammar check. I don’t think that stage will take much longer than a week.. hopefully. When I’ve sent in the approval from THAT stage, the books will be FULLY in production!

I created more when I made more books, so I limited my temptation. XD Each time I need to make one though, oh… It’s like I’m in a playground, clicking on everything. XD

That is way beyond awesome that you do work with the Autistic. There really isn’t enough people who are willing to do that kind of work especially for a wide age spectrum. You are awesome.
Yeah I work with the full range of the spectrum. A few of the people I work with you can barely tell they have it at all, others there is no denying it. It’s an interesting disorder to say the least.. but still sad that people have to deal with it. :/
I still think it’s awesome that you do that. I really mean that, there’s not enough people who do work with kids, much less are willing to work with those who are special needs.
Long long time ago in High School, I would sometimes get to help out during my study hall* and go over to an elementary school and teach the younger kids how to work with computers**. It was fun and I loved working with the little boogers most of the time, but I can understand what you mean by how they can drive you up the wall. There was one kid in the bunch I’d deal with a few times. Very withdrawn, but loved playing with art supplies, wish the school had the money to be able to afford some art programs, I’d love to seen how he’d do with it.

Congrats on the book. From what I’ve seen, it’s lookin pretty damn legit for a first time deal. Can’t wait to get mine. I promise I’ll bury it in the corner… I MEAN… I’ll stick it up on its own shelf.
On a side note, I had to look up how to spell bury. For the life o me, I couldn’t remember how it was spelled. I kept want to spell it “barey” or “beary” or something, but I knew that was wrong cause o the squiggle red line under it.

That’s not so much a babysitting job as a battle royal. But the question is, will Autumn make it home alive?
